I have a wide and varied music taste. ._. I think I forgot some of my favorite bands there. (I got an iPod Touch and Rhapsody for Christmas. I filled almost all of it with music in the first day. ._.) James

James, your music taste is a lot like mine. I shortened mine so much for this thread, I almost cried when I left some bands out.

The Man Bob Marley Forgive Durden Coconut Records Michael Jackson From First To Last ( although, the last song i heard from them was Two As One)

The Beatles Creedence Clearwater Revival Jefferson Airplane U2 Van Morrison The Animals The Allman Brothers Band The Pogues The Byrds The Animals Most of them are from the 60s. Has anyone ever heard of them besides me? All of them (except Allman Brothers, I admit I don't listen to them all that often) would fall somewhere on my list. <3 The Pogues!!! But, I can't bring myself to make a list, because I wouldn't be able to stop myself from going back and adding one whenever I realized that I forgot it, and soon enough the list would take over the whole page...

Hooray! I am not alone!
I always got strange looks from peers whenever I talked about my favorite music because most of them had never heard of them before.
AAAAND I forgot The Rolling Stones.

I'm into a somewhat weird mix of stuff... Elliott Smith, the High Violets, Sleater-Kinney, Florence & the Machine, Beethoven, David Bowie, the occasional Disney soundtrack, PJ Harvey, Hole.

Oh bejeebus, I'm not even going to try listing them all. A couple that come to mind as I scroll through my 7000+ song iTunes library...
- Adele - Alexz Johnson (anybody here remember a show called Instant Star? - Amy Winehouse - The Andrews Sisters - Anna Tsuchiya (inspired by Nana, my favorite manga/anime) - Anthony Stewart Head (woooo Buffy wooooo) - Antonio Vivaldi - Aretha Franklin - Atlanthea
... Oh goodness those are just the As. Methinks I shouldn't continue. You get the gist, though?
(I also listen to quite a few soundtracks -- Disney, Broadway, Glee, etc -- but those don't really count as "artists".)
PS: I swear there are plenty of male artists in my collection. Just, for some reason, not many of my favorites have names that start with A.
