I personally listen to songs primarily, rather than artists. As a post on Unpopular Opinions a while ago said, I don't listen to bands, I listen to music. There are, however, a few bands whose songs I have consistently enjoyed. - Rush
- Evanescence
- Smashing Pumpkins
- Nightwish
- Megadeth (particularly Rust in Peace; easily one of my favorite albums ever)
- Metallica (but only Ride the Lightning through Black Album)
- Bornholm (very little-known Hungarian melodic black-metal band)
- Autumn Above (also very little-known local band; they describe their style as acoustic progressive indie rock)
A Rush fan! Highfives to you!

A Rush fan! Highfives to you! They are, without a doubt, a fantastic band. I have yet to hear a song by them I didn't like. My favorites are The Camera Eye and The Analog Kid.

My taste in music is definitely diverse. I have so many artists I like, I can hardly keep track of them all. Here's a slightly condensed list in no particular order: - Zee Avi
- Marie Digby
- She & Him
- Lady Gaga
- Duffy
- Mozella
- Britney Spears
- Dave Matthews Band
- Cobra Starship (before they sold out- I'm fine with "Hot Mess", but I'd rather forget their latest single.)
- Fall Out Boy
- Adele
- P!nk
- Blink-182
- Sugarland
- Leighton Meester
- The Temper Trap
- Katy Perry
- 2AM Club
- fun.
- The Summer Set
- The Ready Set
- Never Shout Never
- Florence + The Machine
- Kid Cudi
I'm basically up for anything.

I really love Alexi Murdoch. My brother first introduced me to his music about four years ago, and I haven't looked back since. Maybe it's just the sound of his voice: that sort of monotonous, deep voice that you'd think would become quite boring, but for me ends up being very mesmerizing. Kind of like Duncan Sheik (who I also love), but with a much deeper voice, I suppose.
I've only just been introduced to Amy Macdonald after watching an episode of the Graham Norton Show and hearing her sing there. And then of course there's Sigur Ros - I can listen to anything from them on any day of the week, and it never gets old. Absolutely beautiful.

Like someone above stated, I rarely listen to "bands", just to music. My collection is really eclectic, and I rarely buy whole CDs, but rather pick and choose whatever sounds good. Of all the bands I've listened to, I suppose The Beatles have been the most consistently entertaining. I also have a chronic weakness for older Dir en grey and Super Sentai theme songs.
Recently, I've been digging a group called Hey Ocean!. Bit of a pop/jazz band from Canada whose lead singer voices Rainbow Dash and Applejack from the new My Little Pony (yes, my dorkness knows NO bounds.)
