I believe, though I may be wrong, that the University of Southern Denmark charge nothing for tuition for a lot of their courses/degrees.

I love it, for two reasons: 1. I love all commas. 2. I live in Oxford and love it/everything to do with it. GO OXFORD.
I also just find it strange to miss out. I feel like every other item in the list has a comma, so the last one should, too. Although, I was never taught to use it, so I'm not sure where it's come from.

Have you seen the MA Myth, Lit. and the Unconscious one?
Just realised I was looking specifically for mythology-related things, still, but that you're actually already doing it, so it's not necessarily what you'd be looking for x)

"Could of" instead of "could have". Illiterate punks! There's a girl who was in my class once (and I still have her on facebook) and her statuses are littered with this, as well as mistakes with your/you're and all those common ones. She's currently studying for a BA in Creative Writing... Maybe she's not being ignorant, but just 'creative' with her grammar?

It is the University of Essex, UK! And as far as international fees go, it's fairly cheap in comparison to many other universities. x)

I have discovered the following:
My 'firm' choice (which I will be going to if I get two As this summer) offers nothing mythological at all. It's actually a pretty crap course (what was I thinking? ... Actually, I know I was thinking about the sea-side and clotted cream (the uni is in Devon); my priorities were somewhat skew-whiff when I chose, apparently), sooo yeah. Boo.
My 'insurance' choice (which I'll be going to if I get worse than two As but at least two Bs) offers a couple of myth modules. In fact, they do an entire Literature and Myth BA! I am changing my course choice there anyway, so I mayyyyy consider doing that one instead of just English Lit (although I still get myth choices if I do lit.); we'll see.
Our universities work really differently to the US, though, so I only get to do modules from the Department of Film, Literature and Theatre/Faculty of Humanities and Comparative Studies. Also boo.

Most of my books are actually my dad's, because I'm pretty sure my dad owns almost all of the books in the world, so it's rarely necessary for me to buy my own. Having said that, though, if I buy books, it's either because I've read it from the library and want my own (in which case I go new - often Amazon because it's cheaper, but if I'm in town, then I'll look in bookshops), or because I happen to see them in a shop (in which case I don't care if it's new or old; I just want it, so I buy it).
I get books from the library quite a lot, but I don't like doing it. This is mainly because my library (even though it's the city one) almost never has the book(s) I want, so I have to order them in (can take two days, can take three months) at a £1 charge. It's also a pain because I rarely go into town and paying £3 for a bus ticket there and back, plus the £1 order charge... Well, I might as well have gone to Amazon; if I don't go to the city library, the only others I might go to have odd opening times, which means that a lot of the time, they're not open when I'm around. I value the library and don't want to lose libraries, but it's incredibly frustrating going there and all the time having the book be out or unavailable or at a different branch, especially because I'm crap at reading a book in three weeks and taking it back, so I often have late fees, too. It's almost not worth my while to use the library.
D: Library rant, sorry! To the actual topic: I love to buy books, but rarely need to. I will buy a book if I've read it and love it, or if I'm particularly flush and can just buy what I see.

I love Supernatural so much.... It combines two of my favourite things: mythology and hot men. And I'm unsure as to why people are jealous of my studies. Is it the mythology bit or the classics or...? If you want to study mythology GO FOR IT. Seriously, if your university offers the class, go out of your way to include it in your schedule. Most schools offer what is called an "overload" where you can sign up for classes past the cap, but you have to talk to your college. Check out your school's website and browse a bit to ensure you can. But seriously, do it; you won't regret it (unless you have a really shitty professor). It's both the mythology and the classics and well, all of it! I've always been interested in mythology, and took Classical Civilisation when I first started sixth form because it was the closest I'd get to mythology. Unfortunately, two-thirds of my course was 'archaeology' and my teacher 'taught' this by making us watch videos and that's it. It was so terrible (and I kind of decided I wanted to be a surgeon) that I decided to drop it. Since then, though, they've fired the teacher and changed the course, so I'm really, really sad that I haven't done it and am desperate to get another chance. I am - literally, right now - going to check my uni websites to see what kind of modules they have in this vein.

I've never actually had one, but I've tried one a couple of times. I don't really like them because I feel like I should have beautiful writing to do the pen justice, when actually, the pen just makes my writing look even worse. I use fine-tipped Bic biros pretty much exclusively.

Fiction. When I was in high school, I wrote exhaustively. I haven't written much in the years since, aside from the occasional one-off short story or random inspiration. I have a couple of really great ideas I'd like to put on paper...I just don't feel inspired enough to write them. +1. That's pretty much how I feel all the time. I tried my hand at poetry a little while ago (much better than my young adolescent 'poetry'!), and I think they're not too terrible, but certainly not good enough. I'd love to be a poet, more than a novelist, I think now. Mainly because poems are shorter!

I love symbolism, but hate looking for it; I'm lazy, basically. I also love putting it into my own writing - everything means something.

When I first read the books (at 15 - only the first three were out), I LOVED them. I was obsessed with them. I thought they were the best thing ever.
Then Breaking Dawn came out. It was terrible. I started reading it as a fan and by the time I had finished, I despised everything about the entire series. It's the worst book I've ever read, and I don't just mean I didn't like it; it was BAD, in an actual, objective sense of the word. It's so terrible, I don't even know what to say about it.
I tried reading the series again, but didn't make it past the second chapter of Twilight. I wouldn't call myself a 'hater', but yeah, I kind of hate the books. I don't hate people who like them (although, I did judge my hairdresser pretty hard when I found out she has a Twilight tattoo (titles of the books on her shoulder)), but I hate the books and whoever it was who let S Meyer unleash them on the world.
