I'm going to prod my nose into the Fandom section and search out a few fellow SPN fans. This is easily my top fandom and I love discussing the show with others. I've lost hours discussing this show on more than one occasion and truly enjoy converting new people to the show. My current tally is at least fifteen people in the past few years.
So, any other SPN fans lurking among the Armadillos?

I LOVE SPN! My sister and I borrowed my friend's DVDs (series one to five) and watched them all insanely quickly. I LOVE SUPERNATURAL. Pretty much my entire facebook wall is just links/pictures/SPN jokes from my sister, and hers is the same. I have no life because it is dedicated to Spn. Having said that, though, I am quite worried I won't be able to participate in this thread much because I haven't seen series six (and won't until the DVDs come out in August!). I actually thought about making this thread last night, but thought I wouldn't because I didn't want to be all "HEY SPN, but don't talk about it!" y'know?  |

Haha, I know what you mean. I didn't want to say anything about season six myself, because I figured there would be people in your boat. I will say that it was dramatically different than the other seasons and had some real highs and lows, though. Anyway, season seven starts later this year! At least, in the US. But that'll give you sommat to look forward to, at least? |

Is it series six that had (a) different writer(s) or something? Someone from the original team took a step back? My sister mentioned something about it, but neither of us actually knew. A girl from college told me after watching the finale that perhaps I shouldn't watch it at all - was it that bad?
Here, the series six DVDs come out about the same time as my A level results (which decide which university I'll end up at - could be good, could be bad!), so I will be either celebrating or commiserating with Sam and Dean. Either way, I'm looking forward to it.

Kripke, the creator and showrunner, stepped down after season five ended. Sera Gamble was made showrunner for season six.
...I hate her.

There are numerous theories, but I'm not entirely sure as to why exactly he stepped down. He still maintains a hands-on role in the series, though, so there's that at least.

I don't have much time to watch it because I'm always busy with my daughter and university. I watch only one or two chapters per week. I can't wait to get to season 6 though *_* |

I actually loved Season 6. >.> Poor baby Dean.
And I'm glad there's a 7th season because if the show had ended on S6's cliffhanger, I don't know what I would have done. Thrown myself out the window, probably.
