Actually, if there wasn't a season seven and the series ended on that note, I'd be okay with it. I still think it should have ended in season five with Sam (as Lucifer) and Dean (as Mikhail - fuck the English spelling) jumping into the pit together.
But it's interesting to see the free will nonsense running about.
And without season six, we wouldn't have Jensen and Edlund's ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS FREAKING EPISODES.

Is it true Kripke wanted it to end after series five (and then, that being the reason he stepped back)? Also (I'm sure everyone's aware by now, but anyway), Jarpad is on the twitter!

I just don't know where they could go after what happened. I wouldn't have minded season 5 ending where it did as long as Sam hadn't come back at the end of the episode. Sam trapped in the pit and Dean with Lisa and Ben would have been a good way to wrap up the series.
(Have you heard Jensen's directing episode 2 next season? I'm excited. I loved Weekend at Bobby's.)
Edit for Jarpad (Just... what, Jared?): I didn't think that was /actually/ Jared... But I like that he has 16 tweets and 35,000+ followers.

Is it true Kripke wanted it to end after series five (and then, that being the reason he stepped back)? Yes and no. Yes, he had a plotline for five seasons and he assumed that he would only get five seasons (as that's how long he was contracted for; the boys were contracted for six so they would be obligated to attend conventions and do other appearances). There are various reasons rumored as being why he stepped down, but I'm not sure which is the real reason anymore. I think he wants to work on something else, but he still maintains a very active presence on the Supernatural writing team and wrote the finale for season six (as he has for every other season). Question: What are everyone's favourite episode(s)? I can't decide one, so I have one for each season. Season One: Pilot, aka the episode that started it all. I also love "Scarecrow." "I hope your apple pie is freaking worth it!" Season Two: "Born Under a Bad Sign" "My daddy shot your daddy in the heeeaaaad." Also, Jared's acting is phenomenal in this episode. Season Three: "Bad Day at Black Rock" "Is that a rabbit's foot?" / "I think it is...." Season Four: "The Monster at the End of This Book" CHUCK! Season Five: "99 Problems" DRUNK!Cas is hilarious. "It's funnier in Enochian." Season Six: Tie between "Weekend at Bobby's" and "The Man Who Would Be King"

My favourite, without a doubt, is What Is and What Should Never Be. I've watched it way more times than all the others (including once when I watched it twice in a row). I LOVE it. That's my favourite kind of episode: they get exactly what they've always dreamt of, but then have to choose to sacrifice it. AMAZING. I also love A Very Supernatural Christmas and After School Special... Basically, I like the ones about their past. I also loved Swan Song.
Then there are the funny ones (Tall Tales, Yellow Fever, Bad Day at Black Rock...).

My favourite, without a doubt, is What Is and What Should Never Be. Probably shouldn't share this, but what the hell ever: that episode is actually set in my "hometown."

REALLY?! How exciting! Or, maybe it's not for you, but I always get excited whenever my hometown is mentioned on TV. I would flip if SPN had an episode set here (apparently, they were shooting in London, though, so y'know, at least that's the same country!).

No idea why. But Chicago's deep dish pizza IS what saved the world, so...I'm guessing Kripke is a fan of Illinois. Or at least Chicago, and who wouldn't be? WHAT? FILMING IN LONDON? U LIE! WAT?! /bad grammar indicating crazed frothing at mouth

Favorite episodes? Uhuhuh... I'll give you two from each season, how about?
Season One: "Faith", and also "Skin" (You'll notice I like episodes that Dean gets hurt in)
Season Two: "What Is and What Should Never Be" and "Nightshifter" (LAZER EYES!)
Season Three: "Ghostfacers" (I love Ghost Hunters, shut up) and "A Very Supernatural Christmas" (The giving of the Samulet and 'fudge') and "Mystery Spot"
Season Four: "Lazarus Rising" (Cas, of course) and "On the Head of a Pin" and "It's a Terrible Life" (Smith and Wesson? I see what you did there, writers) and "Jump the Shark" (I like Adam, shush) and "The Rapture" and I like a lot of episodes from this season.
Season Five: "Changing Channels" (Gabriel is probably my favorite angel) and "Hammer of the Gods" (Another episode with Gabriel in it, though I did have problems with Baldur being there and nobody commenting on how Loki being loose starts the end of the world)
Season Six: "Weekend at Bobby's" and "The French Mistake" (another unliked episode. I like meta, actually). I'm also surprised at just how many episodes from this season I forgot existed. The thing with Eve was also kind of a cop-out.

I live in the same state that "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" is set in. Sioux Falls, South Dakota is not some tiny town. It's 160,000+ people. Come on, writers. It's not that hard to Google a town.

I like Adam, too, so it disappoints me that they haven't touched base on what happened to him after Sam came out of the Pit. So that means...he's still in the Pit, being tortured by Luci. :C I hope they bring him back next season. It'd be nice if he were a badass demon now and fought Crowley for the position of King of Hell. That'd be cool, actually....
AND I REALLY WANT AN EPISODE WITH BLACK DOGS. I'M PISSED THAT THEY HAVEN'T DONE ONE YET, BUT THEY ARE CANNONICALLY MENTIONED ("Wendigo," they mention that it's a possibility of what could be in Blackwater Ridge killing people, and it's also in the comic Supernatural: Origins.)

ARE THEY HERE? I'M DYING. My friend: They were filming in London. They went to Gordon Ramsay's restaurant and went to the kitchen to meet the chefs. Sooooo jealin'.
I'd have asked more about the filming part if I hadn't been dying about them just being there and her cousin meeting them etc. Favorite episodes? Uhuhuh... I'll give you two from each season, how about? Season One: "Faith", and also "Skin" (You'll notice I like episodes that Dean gets hurt in) I loooooove the scene in Skin where he rips his skin off. Ohhh, soooo good. And YES GHOSTFACERS! How could I have forgotten?!

RE: Baldur and Loki - don't even get me started. Odin? WHAT THE FUCK? WHY NO EYEPATCH?! I wish somebody would have mentioned Sleipnir. That would have made my century. Even as a snide comment from Lucifer. And you'd think Baldur would be pissed that Loki was loose.

And you'd think Baldur would be pissed that Loki was loose. Personally, I was pleased with season five? Why? Let me explain. At the end of season four, when they opened the cage and set Luci free (by accident), I screamed "THEY HAD BETTER MAKE A FIDDLE JOKE!" because I am a huge fan of the song "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." I had to wait until the final episode of the season, but I got my joke. "Bet a fiddle of gold against your soul that I'm better than yooouuuu...."
