How are you liking it, and which translation? I loved it once I figured out who all the zillions of characters were. We need a Hector vs Achilles debate. YES.

Start it here in Literature. It's debating literature, right? I completely second your proposal!

Started. Commence the fight club!
Also, I was reading a bit of The Divine Comedy today. But I don't seem to be in a reading mood in general these past few days.

Right now I'm making my way through The Iliad. How are you liking it, and which translation? I loved it once I figured out who all the zillions of characters were. It's good so far. Going slowly though. I've never been a fan of two-page paragraphs. xD Also I'm reading Martin Hammond's translation.

I think I cried for everyone, but yes, even now I'm tearing up, I kind of knew he was either going to die or leave, but I was still shocked at how it happened. And then again, when she mentioned the constellation, I was in tears again. I think he shows up again, or is mentioned as a constellation in one of her other books. I'm not sure, though. As for what I'm reading: Bright Young Things by Anna Godbersen, Soulless by Gail Carringer, Bone Gods by Caitlin Kittredge, Dead Until Dark by Charlane Harris, and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald Do you recommend Dead Until Dark so far?

Nothing has yet happened to perk my interest, but I'm sure that will change once I get to the good bits. Currently (as in right) The Poison Eaters by Holly Black. That I would recommend reading. It's deliciously dark and well-written, for short stories. I'm enjoying playing one of my favourite games - Guess the Mythology.

I think I may be the only one currently reading nonfiction--The Gift of Fear by Gavin de Becker. It's really interesting, I can't recommend it enough. I've read it a couple times, but my dad's had it for the last while and I just stole it back, so, obviously, we must reunite.

I said earlier that I was rereading the Wheel of Time, but scratch that. All I've been reading lately is THIS FORUM.

I said earlier that I was rereading the Wheel of Time, but scratch that. All I've been reading lately is THIS FORUM. Evidenced by your post count. I'm halfway through Heart of Darkness and needed a break that's not, yanno, Heart of Darkness. I'm actually reading a bunch of my favorite old young adult books from school. Where the Red Fern Grows at the moment. Bracing myself for the ending...
