I actually quite enjoyed the Syfy version, which surprised me. In fact, I prefer it to the UK version. *ducks from BBC-loyalists* I actually prefer it too, I don't know know why though. But Mark Pellegrino is an amazing actor. I love him in all of his roles that I've seen him in.

YES!!! I wanted to mention Pierce, but put it off! I love her! Although I've only read the Lioness and Protector of the Small quartets. I'm rereading them now! I think the her novels are the best for re-reading! Best of her books, in my opinion. But you should still check out the Immortals and Tricksters books, as they are also good. ...Trickster is better than Immortals. *le cough* I've actually read the first Trickster book before I read the Lioness quartet, then my friend enlightened me that it was a sequel. I don't remember much about it, besides the fact that it was about Alanna's daughter being taken captive. I'll try to get the Immortals series next, but I don't really like the new covers for them. I mean the girl is pretty, but I hate head-shots for covers.

Oh, I forgot about their Sherlock Holmes... I'm such a bad fangirl sometimes. I think I like the modern take on it simply because there are SO MANY different versions of time-period Sherlock in different languages.

You have a very idealistic outlook on life, my friend. May I ask how old you are? Seventeen. People keep telling me to stop being so unrealistic, because oh god I'm a teenager I'm obviously just clueless about how the world works. It's kind of funny that most people don't realize that I'll always be like this because my personality is fucking awesome like that. xD. James I wish I could be more like you, because I honestly don't care how much money I make as long as I'm happy. But my Mom always gives me this look that makes me slightly ashamed, as if being happy with what you do is a bad thing. I mean, I transfered to the college I actually wanted to go to, but I'm still gonna be so far in debt from loans it's scary. But my parents are like, we're not paying, sorry.

I think I'm the only one with this opinion, but... I watched a couple of episodes after a friend of mine threatened to disown me because I didn't watch it. So maybe I went in with too much expectation.
I'm sorry, I thought it was really boring. It's written well, but it didn't even hold my attention long enough to finish the little amount of episodes it had.

I've read House of Leaves, but I never finished it. I think I just got to the end when all the shit hit the fan, and I was too scared to go back to finish it. Maybe I will this summer. I need to buy that book. Do any of you armadillos recommend it? It really depends on what you like. It's more a psychological horror and mystery, but I thought it was written well. And depending on how brave you are, I would only recommend reading during the day.

When I'm forced to nitpick, I hate it, but when the teacher has the right way about it, I feel like I'm putting pieces of a puzzle together and then suddenly illumination and enlightenment.

A book is on my chest right now and I'm smelling it as I'm typing. I love smelling books. It's one of the first things I do when I pick one up.

I like musicals, will anyone kill me if I say Moulin Rouge has been my obsession for awhile now.
And I love the Producers, I started singing Springtime for Hitler in public when I was at college. Well, no one heard me, mostly cause I was afraid I'd be killed.
Chicago, Phantom of the Opera, and I really want to see Les Mis on stage.
Dr. Horrible is definitely the best.

There are a few words that I can't spell for the life of me. Definitely (the 'e' always sneaks in, damn it), Caribbean is another. And quiet vs. quite, it always gives me a pause and I have to think for a minute or two.
Also, I can't pronounce motivation, instead of saying Mo(e)-tivation, I say Maa-tivation. It drove my roommate insane. But I have it fixed now. I hate when my foreignness comes out!

As a break for the heavy reading, because let's face it, sometimes you need to read something light between the classics, I suggest The Lioness Quartet by Tamora Pierce. Or any of her quartets really.
And has anyone mentioned Gone With The Wind yet? It is a must!
