I really wanted my hoodie in grey with the eagle, but... eh. Maroon is fine. I might go back for a teal one. And possibly sweatpants.

Do you own any? What do you own? Take a picture of yourself in it. I'm nosy and want to see. I'll start out. My new hoodie. Don't be dissing my eagle.

I don't live in Nebraska, I live in one of the neighboring states, but I know what you mean. The whole Great Plains is kind of dull.

Nebraska? Nebraska? Sheesh. Yeah, Chicago's looking the most logical place for any Big Major Meet-Ups. It's approximately in the middle of all of us... and has a little Armadillo Cluster right close by. And by cluster, I mean two. Which is more than we have in any other given place. Hey, don't diss Nebraska. Actually, we all diss Nebraska.

Naomi Novik's Temeraire series! lovelovelove. It is like dragons collided with Master and Commander. I stopped with the third or fourth book; I need to find time to get back into it. You really should. I really loved the books (and I'm impatiently awaiting Crucible of Gold). I read them first and now I'm working through listening to them (I love Simon Vance's voice, he's a perfect Laurence) and it's really quite a funny series. It's a kind of dry humor, which I like. I suppose the only thing I don't like is that Novik can get kind of wordy at times and I have to reread a passage or two, but otherwise they're pretty awesome.

I have no english classes, but three history ones this semester. Not that I'm bothered, since I would like to minor in history, but it's kind of a lot.

The only problem with going to a 'local, independent bookstore' is the fact that Borders chased them all out of ten years ago and now there aren't any left and Borders is leaving.
I don't use Amazon, for the fact that I like being able to go into a bookstore and actually look at the physical book, open the pages and read a little bit of it to see if I like it or not.

Eagerly awaiting Crucible of Gold by Naomi Novik. I'm already antsy and it's not going to be out until March.

I guess Warren's technically known as Archangel in some of the comics so I could see where the confusion would come from?
I wouldn't even care if I couldn't hide bird wings. Although I guess F!Angel's wings are like a dragonfly's...? Which is cool, but I would rather have the feathers, even if they would take work.

I usually use the receipt for the book I bought, unless I need that because I used my bank card and in which case I use a piece of scratch paper (1/4th of a piece of printer paper because people fuck up printing jobs all the time at work). Or if I have a lot of time on my hands one evening at work, I use the multitude of sharpies at the desk to make bookmarks out of the pieces of scratch paper and 'laminate' them with tape. Those work for me better than anything else I've ever tried. Regular bookmarks fall out and I don't really like magnetic bookmarks. Just... something I don't like about them.

Like male!Angel or female!Angel? (Just fucking spelled angel 'angle' -head/desk-) I always loved the idea of flying, too. So... wings. ...I'm not sure how to answer this. This Angel or This one? Bird wings or bug wings, basically. Shots from the movies because IDGAF right now.
