He's such a pig. I gave him five of his floating pellets just now (and it's supposed to be3-5 a day) and he gobbled them all up so I gave him four more and he ate all those and then I gave him three more. He ate two and he's fussing with his third.
Might have to name him Dean.

So I have another Betta fish. I've had him almost two weeks and he still isn't named. He's red and blue and really iridescent. He's kind of nervous and flighty but loves his food. He really, really likes his food.

I just remembered this topic! This is the main English/Communications/ general Liberal Arts building. Old Admin (named because it's the old Administration building). It's really nice and pretty new-looking inside and has the best bathrooms of any of the bathrooms I've been to on campus so far.

I have a History of American Lit to 1865. I just can't wait to get past the Puritans because they produce some of the driest, least fun to read anything ever. Also, just wondering what the accepted etiquette concerning writing in a Norton Anthology is...? Should I not write in mine? I'll probably keep the volumes, but I keep losing track of all of my facts.Agreed, just write in it. If you sell it back, someone will thank you. If you keep it, your future self will thank you. Also, that is a huge chunk of time to fit into the semester. My uni splits that up. My 1830-1860 American Lit class was fabulous and my favorite class so far. I mean, sure, it helped that the professor was amazing and I had a friend in it, but Emerson/Thoreau/Hawthorne/Poe is a wonderful set of authors to read together. We're not reading every single page of both volumes of the anthology. That would be too insane. But we're covering all the major bases, plus there's a 'History of American Lit II' that I'll take next semester.

I have several free shirts. (I swear, they'll give you a free shirt for just about anything. Going to orientation, going to the bookstore, leaving your room.) My favorite is the one I got from the bookstore, even if the colors are awful. And the last time I visited before moving in, I got a nice red and black hoodie. They have to lure the hermits out somehow, right?

I think doing this on an email trial-basis would be cool. Maybe once we get to know our pen pals a bit more, we could exchange addresses or something on our own terms? We shouldn't rush right into sending letters back and forth across the country, but I would love to have a fellow english major pen pal.
