The Disappearing Spoon, by Sam Kean. Picked it up just today (yesterday here, technically) at a book festival. It's all about the periodic table and the elements and it's so fucking witty and smart I don't know what to do with myself. I had the book signed and went to a presentation Kean gave on it he's just as smart and witty as his book. A highly intelligent man (and not bad looking, either). If you're interested in science at all (and even if you're not) I would highly recommend it.

We've got a long ways to go, friends.
Think, though. We could be BBC Sherlockians. I'm not as big into the series as a lot of people are and I can't imagine what's it like to have to go that long on a cliffhanger like that.

I really liked Thirteen Reasons Why. It's a different take on an idea and it really draws you in.
Right now I'm procrastinating on reading Emerson's Nature.

Well, JK made it. And she said her placings were accurate, so... -shrugs- I've always thought of myself as a Ravenclaw but figured I would go into Hufflepuff or Slytherin. I'm definitely not a Gryffindor.

I grew up reading Harry Potter.
I've shipped Harry/Luna ever since Luna was introduced and I will forever want to slap Ginny for letting Harry name their kids. Ron/Hermione is my fave, too.
(Who else is on Pottermore? I want more friends on it. I'm a Ravenclaw. Dawnfeather81)

^^^ Pretty much. Once you get past the Puritans, you'll have a lot more fun.

The show is so different from the books. It's horribly disappointing. I really wanted the Blue Beetle and instead we got a Jeep.

Today I learned that while naps are good, it is a good idea to undo your ponytail before taking that nap otherwise you will be left with a headache. -rubs head unhappily-

I just wanted to give Sam a hug the whole time. And Cas... Oh, my dear Cas. I had my heart in my throat the whole episode worrying about Cas. Death was fantastic, as usual and I actually agree with how Dean reacted in this episode. Cas is (was?) dangerous and he did need to be taken out.
Everybody's acting was flawless and I really don't have any qualms with the episode itself (Except for the 'Cas is dead and his body is now taken over by pre-earthian creatures). Sam broke my heart and Dean broke my heart and Cas broke my heart then crushed it into dust, Crowley was amazing and Death was Death.

Today, I learned that it's usually a good idea to make sure you have your wallet when you're going to go out and buy milk. Because it sucks to get all the way to Wal-Mart only to have to drive back.

And depending on the person who answers, every question could get a dozen different answers. (I think that's one of the things that is hard for non-practitioners to realize - even though those that follow major religions (either Abrahamic or non-Abrahamic) may differ in beliefs, they all have the same general ideals under every branch of religion when a pagan can worship (or not worship) anything and everything they desire and believe in anything and everything they want.)
Holy crap, that was quite the parenthetical.

And he already knows what happens to River and Amy's 'safe' now, so... That leaves the TARDIS.
I was all excited for Rita to be the new Companion and Moffat even got us attached but I guess I knew in my heart of hearts that she was just a poor redshirt.

I'm convinced the Doctor's fear has something to do with the TARDIS - the Cloyster bell was pretty loud there and I imagine if something happened to her, it would be the worst thing for him. Companions come and go, but Sexy's been with him for forever.
As far as the apple's concerned... That's pretty fishy but I'm more bothered by that than by the Rubik's Cube.
