I know I can't be the only Lord of the Rings fan out there. Which is your favorite out of the trilogy? Did you guys learn Elvish too? If so, which one?

I LOVE these books. No, I did not learn Elvish; in fact, I tend to skip most of the Elvin poetry. I know it is beautiful, but I just really want to get on with the plot sometimes. My favorite book is probably ROTK. I love watching the friendships develope between Sam and Frodo, Merry and Pippin, and Legolas and Gimli.

The Two Towers is my favourite. I learnt some Elvish because I wrote my first and only fan fiction for LOTR haha. So embarrassingly bad. My favourite characters would have to be Boromir and Faramir.

I can't get into the trilogy, but I absolutely LOVE The Hobbit. In the trilogy, once you get past Tom Bombadil, I lose interest.

I know there are some out here who may hate the movies because of inaccuracies or what-have-you but I think we can all enjoy this together...

The movies are terrific, and from what I've read/seen, pretty good adaptations of the novels.
You're not missing much, in my opinion.
/just thinks the trilogy is lame; long live The Hobbit
