Okay, now I understand. Y'all feel the same way about these notebooks as I do about hot press illustration board. It's so nice and smooth, to the point that I rub my cheek against it whenever I think I can get away with it.

I have only one problem with Moleskines: the price. Other than that, I love them. I just got a bunch at the Borders closing sale and I've already gone through two of them.

Yeah, the price kills me, which I why I only use them if I get them as gifts, and even then, I barely use them. Maybe I'm just too much of a child of the Millennium, but I prefer jotting notes on my Droid.

I have one of the small, soft cover black ones. It's perfect because it actually fits in my back pocket, or purse (soft cover much easier for this). The unlined pages are my favourite because I can write, or draw in them. It's great for being something I can have on me all the time, even on a night out.
And again, the quality is worth it. (though I got mine on special from someone who got a store discount)

I adore Moleskines, but I have found a good way to buy them cheaper. I went on Etsy and bought one with a hand-printed design on the cover that is quite lovely, and it was less expensive because the seller had bought them in bulk and could sell them for less. Here's the link if anyone is interested: www.etsy.com/shop/shoofly?ref=pr_shop_more

I was given a plain-page A6 moleskine as a gift, and they are quite nice notebooks. I drew in it a lot, as well as took notes, lists, and suchlike. They're very nice if you can afford them, but personally I wouldn't spend so much on a notebook.
