Recently, I had been writing a philosophy paper that analyzed the argument contained within another piece of literature, and I became stumped when looking for a word. I had changed the phrasing of a sentence to use the word sophisticated rather than sensitive.
Since I made references back to this sentence multiple times throughout the course of my paper, I decided to change all such instances to forms sophisticated. I ran into a problem when I attempted to change the word sensitivity into its corresponding form of sophisticated.
My question, then, is this: What is the word, using sophistic as the root, that means, basically, how sophisticated something is.
ie: To describe how sensitive something is, you would discuss its sensitivity.
