So I'm hoping by now you've all heard about SOPA and signed the slew of petitions out there against it. In addition to the petitions, you can also show your support by going to Blackout SOPA and changing your profile pic on all your social media sites -- solidarity, and all that jazz. Anyone know other SOPA-protest-related things? EDIT: Also, many sites are going on strike on January 18 to show solidarity against SOPA. Sign a petition here to convince more sites to strike with them.

It's working--several of the sponsors and co-sponsors of the bills in Congress have already publicly renounced themselves from the bill. Go internet!

Don't know if y'all have heard of ACTA, but it's like the bigger, meaner, scarier brother of SOPA/PIPA. And it's being quietly passed. And it will affect the whole world, not just the USA. You can sign a petition to stop it: www.accessnow.org/page/s/just-say-no-to-acta

Nope.
Though they did apparently release a huge amount of DDoS attacks to bring down a bunch of gov't websites after the FBI busted MegaUpload.

They are the Illuminati.
Or something.
Though I did also hear that they got a lot of people participating in this most recent attack against their will, by passing around a "new link" to a "new MegaUpload site" that would, when clicked, cause your computer to do a bunch of DDoS attacks against the gov't sites. They'd never done it that way before, and if you clicked the link it could land you 10 years in prison -- so that I feel is kinda shitty.
