I'm Lauren, from Scotland. If you are blissfully unaware of the country's existence, it is the part of the UK which looks like a hungry dinosaur's mouth/torso. It also rains a lot.
I enjoy hot beverages, politics, BBC dramas/radio plays (Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Cabin Pressure, above all), cutting up clothes and attempting to make something better from the resultant mess, trying and failing to dance like Michael Jackson, and attempting to conduct experiments but really just destroying my Gran's kitchenware.
...as well as lots of other things, including English Language and Literature, which I feel is obvious from my joining this forum!
So, if you also enjoy these things, talk to me! If you have no interest in them and would like to tell me so, also talk! My main point being, I enjoy communication and think that all you fez-wearers* - and possibly (hopefully, because they're brilliant) bow tie wearers* - should make your presence known.
* synonymous with "cool people".

I have a presence! Now it is known.
Scotland's cool. I have a friend who moved there some years ago. Clearly Scotland is a small enough community that you must know her -- don't all Scottish people know each other?
Also, you are in good company here. Many fez- and bow-tie-wearers. Fezzes are kind of a big deal. So's the BBC. We don't get very far in any thread on this forum without some reference to Doctor Who or Sherlock or Merlin or all three.
Anywho, welcome!

*tears up*
I am so jealous that you live in Scotland. I love it there.
Does your enjoyment of hot beverages extend to tea? OnlyAWorkingTitle dislikes tea. I believe she has been bopped on the head too often.
Sherlock is definitely a fave of mine. I cannot wait until Series 2 comes out. Any word on that? I figure you Brits might have a better idea than those of us in America, since it's a BBC production and all that.

Also: Tea is just flavored water. You can't convince me otherwise. Hot chocolate is where it's at, yo -- fo'shizzle.

Dodger Thirteen, whereabouts in Scotland have you been? I may not even know it, there are people at my uni from tiny villages up north I've never even heard of, haha. I love tea. Sorry onlyaworkingtitle, but my tea love borders on obsession/cliche, when my nationality is considered. My tea collection reads like that of Ramona Flowers... I do like the occasional hot chocolate in the winter, though, and if it's served with a candy cane, even better! Sherlock Series 1 was recently repeated here, after which the announcer-woman said the next series would be aired in the Spring. I don't know if this is still the plan, but it is certainly upsetting. We do indeed have a hive mind with some things, probably because we're such a small country.

Pretty much Edinburgh, a very little bit nearby, but Edinburgh is basically it. My mother and I drove there from London a few years back, so along that way, too.
Also, HUZZAH FOR TEA DRINKERS! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Well, at least it's definitely airing. Not as soon as I would like, though...I'll just view it as a birthday present, like Avengers.
