I just got back from Houston, TX, today and OH-MY-FREAKING-GOD am I glad to be back in good, old New Mexico! Houston was ridiculously hot and humid. I'm used to the heat -- but the humidity? NO. It felt like I was inhaling all of the water in the air.
Aside from the conflict with the climate, the city was amazing. Apparently the citizens have voted numerous times against there being one central business district so there were, like, four different downtowns to visit. The shopping district was like walking through a shopping heaven.
I've also decided that I'm going back to Texas to visit the Dallas/Ft. Worth metro area because the city is so pretty and they have a DRIVE-IN MOVIE THEATRE. It's my dream to go to one.
