I didn't notice this board until after I posted everywhere, but oh well. I tend to do things out of order anyways.
Hi. I'm tosney, just because it's a name and it's so much fun to say.
I love books, quirky TV and movies, word play, double entendres, writing, sewing, paper crafting, or otherwise creating.
My favorite things are the things that amuse me, appeal to my quirky heart, or make me think.
I have a weird sense of humor that I dare anyone to match. If I do find someone, it will be true love.

You named some of my interests, too. Word play and double entendres? I live for these things. Almost everything that comes out of my mouth has a double-meaning. The rest are movie quotes that no one ever notices. :c Writing? Duh. Love it. If I didn't, I'm in a very sadistic lifestyle. By papercrafting, what do you mean? I'm interested in a few things dealing with paper, but I'm interested in knowing what you mean here? I like sewing, but I do mine by hand. I don't have a machine, so if I want to do any sewing, I have to have hours of time, a lot of thread, and a needle. As for quirky TV/movies, I'm unsure what you mean.

By paper crafting, I'm referring to making scrapbook pages and greeting cards out of fancy paper and embellishments and things. It's great fun.
I admire you for sewing things by hand! If I try that my stitches are always rather messy and I only know two kinds (I probably don't do them right, either, haha).
By quirky TV and movies, I'm referring to shows and movies that aren't the norm - they're fresh, often a little strange, maybe cater to a strange sense of humor, and often have eccentric characters. Think Scott Pilgrim vs. The World for a movie and Doctor Who or Arrested Development for some TV shows.

I already absorbed the Doctor Who thread. I've never met so many in one place!

I think you meant this forum needs more Supernatural fans. And yeah, I sew by hand. It's a bitch, as I, too, only know two stitches, but I find that the whip stitch works in most situations. It's also my favourite stitch. Here's a pic of my favourite piece: It's a bag for my tarot deck (also pictured) and the stones I use to charge them (amethyst and hematite). The fabric is flannel on one side, satin on the other. It's very, very soft and supple. :3 I'm also working on a reconstructing my old messenger bag. It looks like this: It'll be flannel on the inside with a Union Jack fabric on the sides. My old one fell apart, so instead of tossing it, I decided to redo it. It needs a new strap and new buckles, too. Might need a machine for this one...but we'll see how that goes.

Wow, it looks so nice! Anything I tried to sew by hand would look rather lopsided. Also, awesome messenger bag *want*. I wish you luck in your endeavor, especially because it looks like a neat bag. Here's a picture of some dolls I made (Totally a rip off of 'ugly dolls', but they're my designs). This is why I had to learn chain stitches and blind stitches. And here's a dress I made: (Click to see it bigger - the full pictures were too large)
