Yeah, it sounds like a British gentleman's way of pronouncing it though. "I'm very proud of the foly-edge in my yard. I have an exact replica of the parliament cut from a bush."

I just tried to say it with a British accent and I pronounced it the correct way. When I use my regular accent, however, I pronounce it foil-edge. |

I just tried to say it with a British accent and I pronounced it the correct way. When I use my regular accent, however, I pronounce it foil-edge. My regular accent being a strange mish-mash of British Columbian, Hawaiian, Texan, Washingtonian, and a bunch of smaller regional dialects. |

I used to pronounce 'doting' like 'dotting' until my mother corrected me.

I don't know if it's the books' fault, but I can never pronounce "viscera." I will always put the emphasis on the wrong syllable, because I can never remember which way is correct. :\
