Otherwise known as a chat box. I think it would be nice to have on the bottom of at least the index page if it's possible to add. That way off-topic conversations can be contained there, or armadillos can get to know each other a little better.

Oh goodness these things confuse me. But I'd be willing to learn them for the sake of the Fez! I mean, forums in general confused me before I became a permanent fixture on this one, and now I've got them (pretty much) figured.

The thing about chat boxes is that they take away activity from the boards. More people would just stay on the home page and chat, rather than contribute to these discussions. I'm against it.

I've actually never seen this happen on any of the boards I've been on before and after a c-box is in place. If anything, I would think it would make the discussions we have more intense, because there is less off-topic discussion. |
