The Facebook group "I love college, but I miss my cats" pretty much sums up my life. I have two cats at my mom's house, though one is really "mine" and the other is "hers." We each picked a name and I think they realized that, because Felix (my pick) will literally hug me when I come home but pretty much ignores my mom. Pantouf (hers, after the kangaroo from Chocolate) is totally her baby. As well as a total retard. Felix with me when I was home for break last year. Bawww. I'm also using this instead of any other photos of them because HOLY SHIT THEY ARE FAT CATS. Seriously. I've got a picture of him from the wrong angle and it looks like someone photoshopped a kitten's head on a really fat cat's body. He's that out of proportion. (Pantouf is his brother, but more of a beige color than orange.) Then there's Yoda, my dad's cat. He's a grey tabby with a wider face and the prettiest green eyes. And a kink in his tail... we don't know if it's an extra bone or a break that healed badly, but it just feels weird (it's not really visible). That one is a badass. My dad got him from a friend when he was 4 years old, and they explained that he was shy, a loner, and a total indoor cat. Well now he's an outdoor cat that scares the shit out of the dogs (and people) in the neighborhood. And climbs 10 feet straight up trees... without any front claws. And he's super demanding when he is home. Holy shit, I miss having cats >.<

Back when we both had Hobbes and Mellie yearrrrs ago, they were both overweight. My mom had this picture of the two of them lying on her bed, which happened to have a blue sheet on it. She calls it "Two Battleships Going Out to Sea".

I have two kitty cats named Oliver and Simon. They're about a year old and they're littermates. They are both orange and white and look like twins. I love them dearly.

I have two cats, Socks and Oreo. They're brothers, and we got them five-ish years ago. Oreo's handicapped, and quite timid, so Socks is definitely the boss. It helps that Socks is GIANT. Not in the fat way, either, in fact he's not fat at all. He's just a BIG cat. And he knows it too, he likes to jump up onto the house's ledges and headbutt us when we walk past, just like a tiger would. He's a brown and black tabby, with a white stomach and white socks. He's a ticked tabby too, which means every single one of his furs is striped, which looks so cool, I think. Oreo is his little brother, and is very timid, partially because of his disability (we adopted him with a slightly lame leg, and then he tore a ligament in his other hind leg because of overcompensation), and after 5 years STILL won't sit on my father. He loves my mum, he is definitely her baby.

I hate a cat and a horse. The rest of my family has two dogs, two more cats, five goldfish (who live in the horse trough... and actually belong to a family friends son, methinks), and three horses, one of which is being bred today.
My cat, Moose (I didn't name him), is currently sitting on my lap and licking my arm as I type. He's a big, loud, annoying, social cat, and a pillow hog.
My horse, Jack (also: Jak, Jaq, Jack Sparrow, Flapjack, Crackerjack, and every other name with "Jack" imaginable), is a brat. He's very friendly but hates to be told what to do.

So I have another Betta fish. I've had him almost two weeks and he still isn't named. He's red and blue and really iridescent. He's kind of nervous and flighty but loves his food. He really, really likes his food.

He's such a pig. I gave him five of his floating pellets just now (and it's supposed to be3-5 a day) and he gobbled them all up so I gave him four more and he ate all those and then I gave him three more. He ate two and he's fussing with his third.
Might have to name him Dean.

Didn't you ever read this book as a child? www.amazon.ca/Fish-Out-Water-Helen-Palmer/dp/0394800230 It's about a kid who got a goldfish and was told: But of course he fed it more and it outgrew (sequentially) its bowl, a vase, a pot, the bathtub, etc. Overfeeding fish can be a dangerous business. ... More realistically, your fish might die. PS: That fish's name was Otto -- might be a good name for yours, if you're not too settled on Dean yet.

He stops after he gets full. But I only feed them once a day. Or maybe he eats a little more than average and Archimedes eats less than average (though Archimedes is fully grown and the new guy isn't).
I like the name Otto.
