I see all of the people on Goodreads and wondered if I'm the only one using Shelfari instead. So here it is, post up your Shelfari if you have one/want to share. www.shelfari.com/Ovid

Oh, trust me, you're not alone. Eternal Lobster will use nothing but.

I lovvvee Shelfari. I will prolly get a Goodreads account eventually just to see what it is like (and appease Dodger), but I appreciate the visual format of Shelfari so much more. I would share my account but I tend to only do that with friends, sorry. But THANK YOU for starting a Shelfari thread. I was beginning to think that I was the only one...

I'm glad I'm not alone. I also love the phrase, "Eternal Lobster will use nothing but" in and of itself. If I was a writer I would try and find a way to work that in somehow.

What exactly is it?

It's like a virtual bookshelf! You can add books you've read, books you want to read, and book you plan to read to it. You can share it with others. It helps me keep track of books I want to read. They even have discussion boards on there. Amazon owns the website now. I am not sure how exactly it is different from Goodreads, but it definitely has better graphics.

Aaah, I see. I was a little curious when it wanted to know an Amazon ID or something and thought maybe it was for buying books instead.

I'm more a fan of Library Thing, myself. (I haven't finished adding the books in my library to my profile, however.)

I also like the visual aspect of Shelfari over Goodreads. I've gotten so used to it that Goodreads just feels stark. I think if I was going to start up another profile anywhere (and with the amount of time that would take it isn't likely) I would use Library Thing. It seems to combine what I like about both Shelfari and Goodreads.
