I love Kingdom Hearts, it was the first game other than Pokemon games I ever played by myself. I think the writing is pretty good, if not occasionally corny, but that's to be expected, I think. I don't know how to feel about the games past KH2 though, I think it was wrapped up fairly well. I haven't played the ones after KH2, though.

You should try your hand at playing RE:coded if you can. It's set right after KH2, and it has the magic of KH1 with a lot of new things (and replacing old things like the fighting system and leveling up system for the better /le bias subjective comment).
And yeah, haha, there are indeed corny parts; the game's Disney! ^-^
And I've mainly heard good things about BbS, sans "empty worlds" and some things about the Unversed... /le shrug

Yeah, my roommate this year has played all of them and she's loved them. I may pick them up...I would just need to systems required to play them.
I will eventually check them out.

I loved the first Kingdom Hearts, but the second one has to grow on me. I did love Axel, though, and I hate what the writers did with him.

Yeah, Axel's personality is all over the place with the games he's in. gabepeg: I'd suggest avoiding spending money on Days... D:

I remember being really excited when the first Kingdom Hearts was being released. I absolutely loved it.
The second one not so much.
Re: Chain of Memories a bit less than that...
I have all of the games save for Re:Coded, but there's definitely something missing that made the first one really special. Not that they aren't still good games, I just find that they're succumbing to the typical JRPG plot/drama/number of games over-saturation.

This is so timely, as I was just playing Kingdom Hearts 2 hours ago. Funny story 'bout KH: somehow, my brother came home with KH2, despite never having owned KH1. We decided to play it anyway, and fell in love with it. After we beat 2, we went out and actually got the first one, so today was the first time I had ever played the original game.

I love Kingdom Hearts! I actually got into a bit of a debate a while back with a friend who despises Kingdom Hearts because he says it's the same stuff you see in a lot of games. And I just said, "Yeah, but I like that stuff, so why should it matter?" It may not be the most original game, as far as some of the things that happen in it, but it's still an enjoyable series and I love the characterization. 358/2 Days is probably my favorite now, and I'm currently playing RE:Coded. I've played the other games, but I don't have the right system, so I'm always bumming off my friend when we hang out xD

I loved KH1. I couldn't stop playing it. But for personal pansy reasons, I couldn't play KH2 (girlfriend got me into KH, cheated on me after I beat 1, blahblah).

Kingdom Hearts is one of my all time favorite series. My second tattoo is going to be KH themed.

I really liked the first. The second was just as good, in my opinion, at least story-wise. The gameplay was a lot easier, though. I couldn't stand the card system in CoM, so just read the manga for the storyline. Days wasn't bad, but nowhere near as good as the first two. I do need to get around to playing BBS though.
Ah, brilliant! What're you planning on getting, do you know?
