Greetings. They call me Zeffy where I come from. I'm almost 20 years old, and going to be a sophomore in college. I knew I was going to be an English major since before high school. I've been writing for years, and it all just seemed like it was meant for me.
I'm picky when it come to books. I pretty much just read different kinds of fantasy. Occasionally I read other books if their subject matter is relevant to my life (Wintergirls, etc).
If you have ever seen any of my posts in the Music Forum, you'd probably notice my music taste is restricted to metal and Kelly Clarkson. I have no shame.
Random fact about me: I dressed up as a fairy for my 19th birthday.

Metal and Kelly Clarkson? Seems legit. Very. Everyone has their guilty pleasure. Huzzah, fantasy fans! Favorite book/series/author? Oh, goodness. Well, I tend to worship The Name of the Wind. If I was judging series by how many books in the series I liked as a whole, Shannara wins. I liked every book in that series so far. And if authors were Zords from Power Rangers, then I would want Brooks, Goodkind, Eddings, Lynch, Zombie Jordan, Salvatore, Farland, Marco, and Sanderson to become one giant Megazord so I didn't have to pick a favorite.

"Zombie Jordan" is a phrase I have not heard... Is that Robert Jordan? If so, I'm not entirely sure if the term offends me... BRANDON SANDERSON. He is definitely one of my top five. I love him more than pie. Plus his name is bitchin' awesome.

He is really fun. Mistborn is one of the most unique and original things I've ever read.

The Name of the Wind is <3. Welcome. Yay, finally someone else who knows! <3 Thank you :] He is really fun. Mistborn is one of the most unique and original things I've ever read. Yes! The ending was so perfect, but surprising and sad at the same time. Definitely a master of the craft. I haven't read any of his other books, but I have a bad habit of looking up quotes on Goodreads. For good one-liners, he's right up there with Eddings and Rothfuss

Have you read Wise Man's Fear yet? Oh, yes. I was outside my horrible little town plaza bookstore an hour before it opened the day it came out. I was the only one there, of course.

For good one-liners, he's right up there with Eddings and Rothfuss I haven't read nearly as much of his stuff as I'd like (much of it is on my to-read shelf), but Elantris was pretty awesome, if not quite as wonderful as Mistborn. Oh, and did you hear about the new Mistborn sequel? The Alloy of Law! It's a western with allomancy! SO COOL.
