A friend of mine recently told me that J.K. Rowling said in an interview that she imagined Dumbledore as gay.
What do you think?
Personally I feel that it's an interesting idea but irritating. Dumbledore was more or less asexual in my eyes; to add any kind of sexuality detracts from my idea of him as a sort of super-human, above physical desires.

Maybe that's a good thing, though. Having his ideal of being almost superhuman tainted a bit. As I re-read the books, I still admire Dumbledore and think he's a fantastic man, but I also realize that he isn't perfect. He has flaws, he's secretive, he can be pretty manipulative sometimes, and while they don't come to a bad end, they're not necessarily good traits. I used to see him as being on a pedestal when I was younger, but by the time the last books came out and we found out more about Dumbledore, the more I appreciated him for actually being a human being. A very powerful one, but a human being nonetheless.
Also, he can have a sexuality but not be sexual. There's a good possibility that he may be aromantic or something (meaning he has no interest in romantic relationships) and given that he seems a very dignified person, it's possible that without a relationship, he sees no point in sex. It doesn't have to stop him from thinking someone is attractive or whatever, but that doesn't mean he actually does have sex.
