See, I have learned to multitask-eat while reading. I have perfected the prop-the-book-against-the-milk-glass while at the dinner table and the use-your-chest-as-a-table-while-in-bed move, too. Just one of the millions of reasons I love my Nook. Set it down, eat two handed. I can read and eat two handed at the same time. But yeah, one of the reasons why I liked using a Nook was because it props up easier than a book.

I once was eating a bag of Hot Cheetos while reading and then realized in horror that my fingers were staining the pages. I don't think I've snacked while eating since. This reminds me of the time my Bookbinding professor put sunscreen on before handling a student's white book... Oily prints ALL OVER. Profuse apologies. I don't think she'll ever live that one down. A good cautionary tale, though. That sounds horrifying. I have to have all my books as pristine as possible, so if something like that happened to me I probably wouldn't let them live it down, either. Lol.

I eat anything. I perfected the art of eating with a book when I was four or five, and not turning it into a mess. Was never seen without a book at school, to the point where even the teachers tried to make me put it down for lunchtime. The other kids' reactions to it ranged from amused to horrified that I would prefer to read that much.
In middle school, though, some girls who were trying to finish up last-minute reading requirements came up to me and literally begged for me to tell my secrets. They had apparently decided to try my multitasking and read during the lunch period, but weren't able to do it. I wasn't sure what to tell them, as it had never before needed explanation in my mind.

Yeah, I read while eating as a kid too. Still do. My parents would take the book off me and I would read whatever was on the table, usually a sauce bottle.
Now, I live off Mi Goreng noodles. So I eat those whenever I'm doing anything that doesn't absolutely require two hands. Watching tv - Mi Goreng. A movie? Mi Goreng. A book? Mi Goreng!

Browned carrots, because those things are sweet, delicious, melt in your mouth, and I won't exceed my calorie allowance for the day with them unless I eat a whole bucket.

My parents yell at me for reading at the breakfast/dinner/lunch table. Usually I just eat whatever I can get my hands on first. I've had a strange obsession with Sun Chips lately, so when I read I'll eat those.

My parents yell at me for reading at the breakfast/dinner/lunch table. I was banned for bringing books when we went out to dinner because I would bring two or three and alternate. It finally got to the point where I was sneaking in paperbacks and, since it was already there, they couldn't stop me now could they? They finally gave up when I turned twelve and let me alone.
