What do you guys enjoy besides the English world? I've been a dancer since I was three; besides reading/writing/other future-English-Major-y things, it is my whole life. I've done Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Lyrical, Modern, and Hip-Hop. And for the record, I am counting Dance as a sport, because it most certainly should be considered one. As for hobbies, I enjoy acting, singing, and video games.

A lot of my friends in high school were dancers. My mom always wanted to sign me up for lessons but I could barely get through recess at school without hurting myself I used to be really into sewing, I made clothes and everything. But, I don't have a machine any more so I can't do it as often :/. Hopefully i will get a job soon and I can buy a my own machine!

Bicycling is definitely a hobby of mine, as is walking, which I find especially enjoyable when combined with listening to music (though that really applies to anything I do). I also play video games, though how much time I spend on that varies a lot. I used to play WoW, and I've played Rock Band and Minecraft for quite a while. I'm also currently playing Metal Gear Solid 4 (big MGS fan here). I also play drums, which, admittedly, I got into because I got so good at the Rock Band drums that I thought to myself, "Maybe it's time I pick up the real thing."
But most curiously of all (to me, at least) is that I enjoy typing. Just about anything that involves typing, I'll probably enjoy. When I played WoW, I wrote a blog about it, and I think I did that partly as an excuse to type a lot. Seriously, i just love typing. It might be because my WPS is pretty high, and I enjoy it because I'm good at it.

Sewing is AWESOME. I took a sewing class in 7th grade, and I fell in love. But, like you, I don't own a machine, so I'm stuck. :/

I guess walking if you count it as a sport! As for hobbies, I play keyboards in an incomplete band, play Final Fantasy and Pokemon, and cook.

I run track. I don't know if I'll continue it in college or not, but I really enjoy sprinting and I like what it does for my body.

I've never been an athlete, unless you count Pony-League baseball, or whatever it was called. Though, I have recently begun fencing, since I'm going to need some way to fight off the zombies and the pillagers when they take away all our guns. My friend is an archer, so I decided to go for the rogue approach ;D.
I spend a lot of my time being a thespian, and doing thespian things, heh. I enjoy singing, playing my bass guitar/any string instrument that's interesting, and role-playing. Oh, and writing. I write quite a bit.

For the longest time, I hated watching sports; playing them was always better. Hockey has recently become the exception, specifically in November 2009. I attended my first hockey game at The Boyfriend's college (they don't have a football team, but hockey instead) and fell in love. I immediately began following the Blackhawks and, lo and behold, they won the Stanley Cup that year. That essentially sealed my love for the game.
As for playing...Ultimate Frisbee is where it's at! Iunno why, perhaps I'm half-hound or something, but it's exhilarating and I love it.
Other hobbies...er...I don't have any? I watch a lot of television and movies, mostly because I'm an insomniac and never sleep. I'm on the internet a lot, too, Stumbling things. Research is another...hrm....
I read? *shrugs*
Trying to get into sewing some of my own clothes, but fabric is expensive....
And video games, namely the Legend of Zelda series.

World of Warcraft is my drug.
Guild just went 7/12 last night after starting raiding seriously two months ago.

I like to write speculative fiction. I want to become a professional fiction writer; for some odd reason, I'm dead set on accomplishing this. I'm a determined bitch like that (...despite being male. xD).
I also did karate for three years (Okinowan Goju Ryu Karate Do). I haven't done it in a year and a half (we moved and couldn't find a new dojo), but I still want to get at least a fourth degree black belt in karate and judo (I have a love affair with martial arts.).
I played World of Warcraft for a few years, but never took it seriously. My highest character was a level 46 discipline priest. *shrug* Video games aren't exactly my thing.
I watch a lot of anime, if that counts. I adore stories, and anime has a ton of awesome sci-fi stuff (...I also adore dramatic things, so dramatic science fiction = win, even if it can be overdramatic occasionally). Neon Genesis Evangelion. Is. Amazing.
I journal and blog a bit, but only a bit.
That's about it.

I used to swim, dance (tap and modern), do gymnastics, play piano and guitar...
Now I pretend I can play the piano and sit down a lot. I like to dance down the long corridor in my house and watch dancing shows saying "I could do that". Um, I like to bake a lot, though. On Wednesday, I made a lemon meringue pie (that was actually kind of a disaster; I ruined the pastry), chocolate cookies and a rhubarb crumble. I used to be really fussy about getting my hands dirty, so I didn't cook as much and definitely not things like pastry or crumble, but I'm getting over/used to it now. I used to do a lot of art/sewing (although most of that was for my GCSEs), but now I'm just of the 'when I've got the time' club. I'd like to do it more often but 'never get around to it'. That, and I'm pretty sure I've forgotten how to use a sewing machine!

Book arts! I'm looking to start selling my stuff on Etsy, and when I do I'll post links somewhere on this forum...
Non-book-related, I do extensive baking (the pastry sort, not the hallucinogenic), play video games (Dance Dance Revolution, Oblivion, Sims), and spend more time on the internet than is probably healthy. Oh, reading and writing, of course, but I figured that was to be assumed.

Marching band. Yes, it ought to be considered a sport. If cheerleading is, marching band is. College marching band is where I've made most of my closest friends. It's honestly a really awesome and accepting place. And being involved in the arts (music, etc) has helped me find more people who are into literature and English

Marching band is definitely a sport. It got me out of gym in high school (which was good, because I simply didn't have time for it in my schedule)... even though I played electric bass for it and never actually marched.
However, I only did marching band for that one year. My main instrument is the bassoon and, well, you technically aren't allowed to march that. So I've stuck to orchestras and symphonic bands, for the most part. The bass is just a fun hobby now.
When it comes to sports, I'm a swimmer. Except that I haven't actually been on a team since sophomore year of high school. Still, I'll spend most of my time in the water this summer, once the lake warms up. I've recently picked up running, but it's a lot more painful and a lot less satisfying than swimming, so we'll see how long that lasts.
And, of course, there's always writing, but that's a given.

Interests/Hobbies other than writing and reading:
-Roleplaying (written roleplaying, not gaming) -Gardening (green thumb!) -Cooking (could do it all day long) -Collecting rocks (yes, I visit rock shops wherever I go on vacation) -Running (unofficially and not on a team, though I'm out of practice) -Drawing (Abstract!) -Set design/fabrication -Art in general -Trivia (I play every Tuesday at a local restaurant)
I write and read more than I do any of that though.
