As far as working forty hours a week, HAHAHAHAHAHA. In what world is that hard? I've worked eighty hour to a hundred hour weeks before, without pay. Forty hours is so fucking easy in comparison. I'm assuming that if you're working 80 - 100 hours a week without pay that you're not paying rent, or any other bills. Because if you were, you wouldn't have any time to earn money for rent after your volunteer hours. I had roughly the same amount of volunteer hours racked up when I was in high school, too. I also didn't have to pay for rent or other bills with my own money because I lived with my mom. (I wanted to get a job to help her out, because my dad wouldn't pay child support on time and our power got cut off a lot. But she told me my main job was school and getting good grades -- so I graduated with a 3.5 gpa and lettered 3 years in theatre while she worked herself to the bone to provide for us.) 40 hours/week is a lot harder when you actually have bills. Just saying. |
