I thought it would be neat to see everyone's handwriting (especially with the whole cursive debate that went on a while ago)! I figure "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" is a good sample sentence because it has all the letters, but really, you can post any picture of your writing. Sorry the image is blurry - my webcam isn't of the best quality.

You have gorgeous handwriting. I'm very jealous. I put a sample of both my print and my cursive. I tend to switch between the two depending on my mood.

Thank you! People keep telling me that, but I think it looks such a mess. Admittedly, in that picture, it is fairly neat, but most of the time, I just think it's ugly. I don't get the cursive/print difference, really, though. I mean, obviously I see the difference in the writing, but I don't understand how one would come to have two ways of writing; I just have the one, which has changed many times, but always been one. Is that because my writing is quite 'cursive-y' already? (Is it even 'cursive-y'? I tend to think of cursive as just being a little loopy/swirly, joined-up writing). I just don't understand!

I usually use a combination of both. I just remember that in fifth grade all of the teachers were telling us that they only write in cursive in middle school. Which was a lie, because the teachers didn't really care. Also when I was learning English in Kazakhstan they also taught us cursive, not print, because no one ever prints in Russian, you'd be considered uneducated if you did. So I guess for me it's just how I learned. Also my handwriting gets progressively worse the longer I write. Attachments:

I have four different ones... and I scanned this so the paper looks strange.

People like my handwriting; I don't know why. But whatever the reason, I'm getting paid $42 to address someone's wedding invitations, so I'm good with it. Sample:

Mine jumps between sharp and loopy. My second grade teacher would be so ashamed. Attachments:

I couldn't take a picture of this to save my life. Should have written in pen. Also wrote 'leapt' instead of 'jumps'. Oh well. Urgh, it's so fuzzy.

Believe it or not my hand writing is actually really good compared to about 5 years ago.

Your handwritings are all lovely, mine is shocking. It looks like scribbles, I can rarely read my own writing.

This is my handwriting. It is pretty awful. I tend to write quickly, small, and near illegibly. In my younger years I was often asked to rewrite homework assignments. Don't even ask about my cursive. We moved while I was still learning it and the new school had already finished teaching it.
