My name is Gina, I'm 16, and I'm from Chicago. I've wanted to be an English teacher since I was a little girl and I read almost 24/7. My favorite TV Shows are Castle, Pretty Little Liars, and Cold Case. My favorite color is Pink. I'm shy around people I don't know too well, but I'm crazy around my friends. I tend to be a little more outgoing than usual on the internet. I've been a dancer since I was 3, and I've taken Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Pointe, Modern, and Lyrical.
Dream school= DePaul University in Chicago.
I'm not really sure what else to say, so... hey guys?

The only reason I'm so nutso on here is that I've decided that "Armadillo" is synonymous with "friend," because otherwise I'd be the lurkiest lurker you've ever not-met. So, so, so, questions... What's your favorite dance style to do, what's your favorite dance style to watch, and why?

Hm. That's actually a really tough question. I'd have to say my favorite style to do would be a three-way tie between Lyrical, Hip-Hop, and Pointe. Lyrical is the most expressive, and I love being able to choreograph my emotions into something. I love Hip-Hop because I love how creative I can get with my choreography. Pointe is one of my favorites because I think it is one of the most graceful, gorgeous, and amazing things in the world. If someone told me when I was 3 years old that I would be one of the ballerinas in pointe shoes and the big poofy tutus, I would've thought they were crazy.
As for watching, I would say Hip-Hop and Pointe, for the same reasons above.

Of all the performances I've seen, my favorites have almost always featured a blending of the two (assumedly opposite) styles, and are amazingly expressive and beautiful.

I'm just going to share some of my favorite performances.
Diana Vishneva in Don Quixote:
Eisenhower High School at Nationals: - Eisenhower is a school near where I live, and they were at one of my high school dance competitions. They absolutely blew me out of the water. They are AMAZING.

Ouch. I believe I was just defeated in dance videos. But seriously, Lady Gaga AND Pointe? Win.
This summer I'm going to start choreographing again. It's been way too long.

Oh goodness, I just watched the HBO special on Lady Gaga's Monster Ball concert in Madison Square Garden and she is such an amazing performer. Awe-inspiring. Seriously.

YEAH! Secret: I'm technically from a Chicago suburb, but I spend so much of my time in the city that it still sort of counts... Anyway. I'm definitely looking forward to living in Chicago when I (hopefully!) go to DePaul.

Well, I would say about 75% of the people who say that they're from Chicago, including me, actually live in the suburbs.
