I always wanted to get involved with literacy charities and I'm hoping I'll be able to do some work abroad with them after I graduate. Working with kids with dyslexia back home would also be something I'd be happy to do for the rest of my life, though I'd also want to teach a few high school level literature and Latin/classics courses. Especially if I could teach at my old high school - which was really awesome. In fact, most of our teachers were older students who came back to teach precisely because they liked the school so much. I dunno, there was a lot of emphasis on individual work and personal points of view and we did /a lot/ of group projects, research papers and presentations - which often degenerated into ridiculous affairs involving costumes, music and elaborate props. Ahh happy times.

I'm student teaching in the Spring and I could not be more terrified. I'm actually in Australia right now for a teaching internship. I was just telling my co-op how teaching gives me a feeling like nothing else does.
