I hate it when I let someone borrow my book that is new condition and they turn into into something that looks like it's been flushed in a soiled toilet.

This may make me seem like a hypocrite, but I get somewhat annoyed when people get super anal about their books... and by that I mean, my friend yelling at me when I opened her book wider than an inch. She really doesn't like cracked spines.

She really doesn't like cracked spines. The only thing I do to my books is crack the spines. Anything else irritates me. I don't loan books to people, though, ever since my brother borrowed a book from me and let his dog pee on it.  |

I can't ever find the right spot to read in. There are just so many distractions- other people, the internet, homework, my cat, internet... the only place that I've found that really lets me pound out a hundred pages or so in one sitting is the bathroom, and my roommate hates it when I'm in there too long. XP

When I finish a book and I really like it, and then I go on goodreads or amazon, and happen upon a negative review and suddenly I'm not sure if I like the book as much as I did before reading the review.
