Finally finished that Jonathan Strange book. It was worth reading, but I wish the editor cut out about a third of it.
The Lost Art of Keeping Secrets was kind of amazing. It's been so long since a book managed to so completely absorb me and it was a good feeling. I also adored Rice's sense of humor. Not sure how I feel about the ending though - it seemed like she rushed through it a bit.
Also read Just Kids. Lovely read - the lives of artists always fascinate me.

I love children's lit so I'm currently reading A Tale of Two Castles by Gail Carson Levine.

It's really, really exciting to see someone else has read it and enjoyed it - especially someone I've not forced into it. ;D ;D ;D

I'm reading the Beka Cooper series by Tamora Pierce, on the first book Terrier. It's good so far, different from the others, will be interesting to see where it goes.

I'm working through Catch 22 bit by bit. It's amusing, but pure satire of length is always difficult for me to get through because there aren't lovable characters you want to follow or a clever plot to keep you turning the pages. I'm reading a novel I got on clearance called "A long long time ago and essentially true" to balance it out. It's defeating my expectations, and it's surprising charming so far. We'll see how it ends up once I finish it.

Finished Terrier, Beka Cooper, went online to see the other books and WHAT!? The series isn't finished yet?! T_T I got the second book at the library, but I almost don't wanna read it because the other two will be a long time coming.
Also got at the library:
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green Alphabet of Thorn by Patricia A. McKillip American Gods by Neil Gaiman The Jesus You Can't Ignore by John MacArthur
Yap, that's a wide variety of books.

Whaa?? My library is under stocked and doesn't have American Gods. For that matter, they also don't have Dorian Grey or anything by Nakobov, both of which I still want to read.

They have Dorian Grey for free on e-books, the app is also free for download. Nakobov? You mean Nabokov? lol Also, if our library doesn't have a book, they order it for you from another library. It's sad if you don't have those books

Really? Yay! *downloads Dorian Grey*
And yes, that's what I meant. Nabokov. He's been on my list for awhile. Maybe that's why he didn't show up on the catalog, haha. (I even googled the name because I knew I was likely to mix the letters up, but apparently so many other people have as well that it didn't show up as wrong).
And they do have one or two copies of American Gods in other libraries, but I don't usually order books. Maybe I should think about doing so...

Women in Literature Class: Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice Women in History: Written by Herself -- which is basically a collection of short stories by women in the United States Early English Lit : Beowulf Lit of the Western World: Oedipus the King, and then we're reading stuff from the Iliad.
I'm also kind of reading Wuthering Heights on the side; and will attempt to read American Gods too.

Stopped reading and/or finished most of the books I had listed before. I just finished reading Chasing Harry Winston by Lauren Weisberger and have just started another book of hers called Last Night at Chateau Marmont. I'm also going to try and finish up Grave Dance this week by Kaylana Price.
Don't really have anything to read for classes. Read Utopia for a class earlier this semester, reading Queen Elizabeth I's speeches for Friday as well.

Still chuggin' my way through the Song of Ice and Fire series; on the third now, Storm of Swords. The other week, I was reading the second on the subway and some guy stopped me to warn that the third would make me want to throw it across the room. I haven't yet, but am looking forward to it.
