I saw it on Friday. ^^
And I have to agree. The movie itself was kind of on the epic side, but Moriarty's Master Plan kind of disappointed me. It's just so over used.

You know I never got why they always make such a big deal out of him... he may be the villain who nearly kills Sherlock, but he was never that important in the stories. Didn't he only appear in like two? If anything they should have gone with the Baskervilles...

I still haven't seen Sherlock >.< and I must! (This is what happens when your best friend finds love and best friend activities are reduced.)
Anyway, I've been sort of on a rekindling-my-childhood movie kick and I recently re-watched Pocahontas and OHMYGODITWASSOAWFUL. Awful, awful, awful!
Also, it's not a movie, but I finally caved and watched the first half of the first season of Game of Thrones after seeing how much you all liked it...and it was so good. I'm in the process of finishing the last half and I need to get my hands on the books now!

The obsession spreads.
I think Pocahontas is a fabulous movie, not for the writing or anything, but because the music and animation are both gorgeous. But hey, if those aren't your priorities...
Speaking of which, I rewatched Tangled for the umpteenth time yesterday; first time seeing it with an actual child, which was interesting. Still love that movie. Again, gorgeous music and animation -- whatever you may say of Disney, they've got those two, hands down.

Personally I think Tangled is one of the best movies to come out of Disney in a while! I liked Princess and the Frog but I feel it fell kinda short music-wise (except Dr. Facilier's song) and even the art wasn't the most stunning, but Tangled was absolutely brilliant.
As for me, I watched The Brave Little Toaster with my little bro (he's 15) after my dad put it in my stocking. I don't think I've watched that movie since I was 7 or so and it was hilarious. I was actually pretty impressed with it, I was expecting it to be bad (well, worse than it turned out to be, anyway).

BRAVE LITTLE TOASTER YES. Oh gosh, really want to rewatch that one as an adult...
Watched The Swan Princess this evening with my 8-year-old cousin, who'd never seen it, which horrified me. Much fun was had by all.
Also saw The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo this afternoon (NOT with the 8-year-old), which was a very good movie. Haven't read the books, not sure I'd want to, but looking forward to film sequels...

I agree, Disney is the best at making movies pretty. However, that didn't stop me from hating the LIES THAT POCAHONTAS IS. I don't know. I just have a problem with it, and I cannot begin to sort it out to give you concrete reasons.
I loved Tangled. I watch it every time it comes out on one of those movie channels.
Brave Little Toaster scared the living crap out of me. I watched it once when I was a kid and then again a couple months ago...and the more recent one really terrified me. It just seems like the people behind the film were on acid or something.
Speaking of acid-influenced films, continuing with my rekindling-my-childhood movie kick, I did re-watch Alice in Wonderland. Can I just express how much I love the Cheshire cat? And Diamond the cat? And just cats in general? Also, my knowledge of psychoanalytical criticism was itching to surface as I was watching the film...so many opportunities to use it!

*steeples fingers* Eeeeeeeeeeexcellent. Come into our web....
As for Tangled, I actually watched it for the first time last week with The Boyfriend. He and I were laughing much of the time. It was very good and renewed much of my faith in Disney's animation/storytelling qualities.

I finally got around to watching the remake of Fright Night. It was a lot better than I expected it to be! Definitely an entertaining movie. Colin Farrell was so good at being a creep and there were definitely a few things that made my skin crawl.
Also, rewatched Paul. Freaking love those boys.
