 Different forum colors?

The dark background color is really hard to read black type on. As in, my eyes are in pain. Is there a solution?

(I mentioned this in the "So...what do you think of the forum?" thread [comment #17], but it was unaddressed, so I figured it might get some more attention in its own thread.)

Yeah, it's somewhat annoying. If my laptop is tilted just a tad too far back, I can't read a thing.

I prefer darker colors, but isn't there a way on proboards to make it so the admin can design several color schemes and each user can choose which one they want to use?

My screen has the nasty habit of randomly adjusting the brightness on me (and not letting me fix it), so there are times when I need to zoom in about 200% to read anything on here... And really, even just a few shades lighter would be a vast improvement.

I'm sorry about this guys! I was hoping Tori would resolve the issue, since she designed the original color scheme.
I'll try to get something worked out today. Sorry again!

Ok, everything looks bloody weird to me now but... is this better? Any suggestions?

"Armadillo Dark" is also an option now, with (mostly) the old forum colors, for those that preferred it.

Is there any way we could just get a straight black/white option? ie Black background, white text because that contrast is usually easier to read than light backgrounds with dark text.

You almost read my mind. I just came here to post this, except I was going to ask if it were possible to have a white background/black font option. I know it's easier for most to read white font on a black background, but my brain does not agree.

I ask because I find it really hard to read the grey background/grey font on my iPhone and there's no way I'm forking out 2,99$ for the ProBoards app!

My brain also does not agree. Light-on-dark text makes my eyes go wibbly.

More contrast would be a good option, but I wouldn't want it to be the default -- what we have now is fine for any case except for the above-mentioned miniature format of the iPhone.
